Ostrich Eggs Gallery
These eggs are inspired by the famed Faberge Eggs of Russia. Each Ostrich egg is halved, hinged, then trimmed in gold leafed sterling silver. They are then meticulously decorated using acrylic paint, technical pen, 22 carat gold leaf, crystals and semi-precious stones. Each egg is lined in either silk or velvet. Because each piece is entirely hand-crafted, each will vary slightly. Due to the labor intensive nature of each piece, Mr. Durham only produces about 30 Ostrich Egg Boxes each year.
Golden Striped Egg
This stunning egg is striped in layers of 22K gold. The sterling silver trim and metal bow are also covered in 22k gold leaf. The egg opens to reveal a silk-lined inside and contains a miniature gold flower basket and tiny stems of spring flowers cast in resin. Each egg is an original work of art and will vary slightly. Dimensions are approximately 6" high and 5" diameter.

Dragon Fly Egg
This egg is painted in acrylic and technical pen. The wings of the dragon fly are highlighted in 22 carat gold and inlaid with Austrian crystals. The eyes are semi-precious garnets. The egg is lined with iridescent silk fabric. Each egg is an original work of art and will vary slightly. Approximate dimensions 6" high with a 5" diameter.
